This German Mk IV assault gun is based on the Stug III. The Mk IV assault gun is based on the undercarriage of the Stug III with improvements proposed by General Guderian. These improvements include inter alia front armour plating re-inforced from 50 mm to 80 mm, a longer front end and lateral aprons for addtional side protection.
