Revell B-17 Flying Fortress 1:72 [rev04395 (04395)]
The famous US heavy bomber. The heavy American B-17 bomber is without a doubt one of the symbols of WWII. Used from 1941 by the 8th Airfleet and the RAF, this heavy four engined bomber seemed an easy target for the German fighter planes. However the tremendous firing power of up to 11 machine guns in flexible positions or turrets turned the B-17 into a flying fortress. The much-improved B-17 F was produced from 1942 until Sep 1943 when the production figure stood at 3,405 units. It successfully served until the end of the war. The four Curtiss-Wright R-1820 engines delivered 1200 ps each. Max speed was 480 kph and a range of 2960 km and it's armourments included 13 machine guns and the bomb load was 7,850 kg.
