Revell British Vosper MTB 1:72 [rev05084 (05084)]

The small and manoeuvrable British torpedo boats of this class proved highly successful weapons of attack in the Mediterranean theatre of operations during WWII. Under cover of night and with radar support the wooden boats moved in formation to attack enemy coastal vessels with their torpedoes. After the attack the boats veered off quickly to escape the fire of the enemy escort vessels and the watch the success of their attack. In this way the Allies kept their supply routes open, especially in the Mediterranean. The advantages of manoeuvrability and speed far outweighed the limitations regarding range and light construction. Powered by three 4,050 PS Packard engines, the boats had a max speed of 40 knots (72 kph).
